Natalie’s Father’s Day Card
By Ann Argyle Fox
Natalie was excited. She loved art projects. Natalie listened carefully because she knew her teacher always wanted things done just right.
Mrs. Webb gave everyone a piece of brightly coloured paper. “Last week we made Mother’s Day cards,” she said. “Today I’d like you to make a card for your dad. You can save it for Father’s Day in a few weeks.”
Natalie carefully folded her piece of coloured paper. She picked out her favourite crayons and drew a big flower on the front of her card. Then she opened her card and used her best handwriting to copy the words her teacher had written on the board.
When school ended that day, Mrs. Webb said, “Be sure to take your card home and put it in a safe place. And remember to give it to your dad on Father’s Day.”
Natalie picked up her card. She thought it looked very pretty. But what could she do with it if she took it home? Quietly she put the card in her desk and left it there.
When she got home, Natalie kept thinking about her card. And the more she thought about it, the worse she felt. After dinner she helped Mom wash the dishes. This was usually her favourite time with Mom. But tonight Natalie felt unhappy and strange inside.
“Mommy, why am I different from the other kids?” she asked. “I wish I had a dad to talk to, like they do.” She explained about the Father’s Day card.
Mom stopped washing dishes and dried her hands on a towel. She put her arms around Natalie.
Natalie thought for a moment. “Is that when I pray?”
“That’s right,” Mom said. “When you pray you can tell Heavenly Father anything you would want a father to know.” Mom started humming the tune to “I Am a Child of God.”
Natalie started singing, and Mom joined in. As Natalie sang, she began to feel better.
When they finished singing, Natalie asked, “But what about the card? I can’t send that to Heavenly Father.”
“No, but can you think of someone else who loves you, someone who comes to visit and play with you?” Mom asked.
“I think he would like it a lot,” Mom said.
That night when Natalie knelt by her bed to say her prayers, she remembered what Mom had said. It gave her a warm, peaceful feeling inside to know that Heavenly Father was listening.
The next day when school ended, Natalie put her Father’s Day card carefully into her backpack. She couldn’t wait to give Grandpa his card. And she knew she had a Heavenly Father who would always be there to love her and hear her prayers.
When it was Father’s Day, during sacrament meeting I made as many Father’s Day cards as I could. After church I walked around and passed them out to all the fathers in my ward. I felt like the Spirit was in my heart because I did something nice for someone else.

90 Day Challenge With Debbie Nicholson Vid 10
Today I am sharing something that was sent in the email to me from my friend in Wellington. I thought it would contribute to your laughing a BIG laugh today. And please forgive me if you are a blonde. I mean no offence to you whatsoever.
FLORIDA OR MOON
Two blondes living in Oklahoma were sitting on a bench talking, and one blonde says to the other, ‘Which do you think is farther away… Florida or the moon?’ The other blonde turns and says ‘Helloooooooooo, can you see Florida ?????’
A blonde pushes her BMW into a gas station. She tells the mechanic it died. After he works on it for a few minutes, it is idling smoothly.
She says, ‘What’s the story?’
He replies, ‘Just crap in the carburetor’
She asks, ‘How often do I have to do that?’
A police officer stops a blonde for speeding and asks her very nicely if he could see her license.
She replied in a huff, ‘I wish you guys would get your act together. Just yesterday you take away my license and then today you expect me to show it to you!’
There’s this blonde out for a walk. She comes to a river and sees another blonde on the opposite bank ‘Yoo-hoo!’ she shouts, ‘How can I get to the other side?’
The second blonde looks up the river then down the river and shouts back, ‘You ARE on the other side.’
AT THE DOCTOR’S OFFICE
A gorgeous young redhead goes into the doctor’s office and said that her body hurt wherever she touched it.
‘Impossible!’ says the doctor.. ‘Show me.’
The redhead took her finger, pushed on her left shoulder and screamed, then she pushed her elbow and screamed even more. She pushed her knee and screamed; likewise she pushed her ankle and screamed. Everywhere she touched made her scream. The doctor said, ‘You’re not really a redhead, are you?
‘Well, no’ she said, ‘I’m actually a blonde.’
‘I thought so,’ the doctor said, ‘Your finger is broken.
A highway patrolman pulled alongside a speeding car on the freeway. Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting!
Realizing that she was oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window, turned on his bullhorn and yelled, ‘PULL OVER!’
‘NO!’ the blonde yelled back, ‘IT’S A SCARF!’
BLONDE ON THE SUN
A Russian, an American, and a Blonde were talking one day.
The Russian said, ‘We were the first in space!’
The American said, ‘We were the first on the moon!’
The Blonde said, ‘So what? We’re going to be the first on the sun!’ The Russian and the American looked at each other and shook their heads.
‘You can’t land on the sun, you idiot! You’ll burn up!’ said the Russian.
To which the Blonde replied, ‘We’re not stupid, you know. We’re going at night!‘
IN A VACUUM
A blonde was playing Trivial Pursuit one night… It was her turn. She rolled the dice and she landed on Science & Nature. Her question was, ‘If you are in a vacuum and someone calls your name, can you hear it?’ She thought for a time and then asked, ‘Is it on or off?’

And Now For Something Funny and Different
An avid duck hunter was in the market for a new bird dog. His search ended when he found a dog that could actually walk on water to retrieve a duck. Shocked by his find, he was sure none of his friends would ever believe him.
He decided to try to break the news to a friend of his, the eternal pessimist who refused to be impressed with anything. This, surely, would impress him. He invited him to hunt with him and his new dog.
As they waited by the shore, a flock of ducks flew by. They fired, and a duck fell. The dog responded and jumped into the water. The dog, however, did not sink but instead walked across the water to retrieve the bird, never getting more than his paws wet. This continued all day long; each time a duck fell, the dog walked across the surface of the water to retrieve it.
The pessimist watched carefully, saw everything, but did not say a single word.
On the drive home the hunter asked his friend, “Did you notice anything unusual about my new dog?”
“I sure did,” responded the pessimist. “He can’t swim.

Articles – Training With Doc Stone
Don’t give people too many options – 2 or 3 are enough. Remember they are tired and sometimes they might not even be a good reader. Therefore don’t use fancy words no one other than yourself knows the meaning of. Think of the age group who may be interested in what you have to say. Think of their ability to see, so watch what fonts you choose to use. All of these things are important when writing a blog or an article. Give them a summary if you feel the need to at the end so that they can get used to going to that and following your recommendation from there.
People soon come to know your style of writing and the easier you make if for them the better and more financial in the long run it will be for you.
Become conversational in your wording, without avoiding proper comprehension rules. These people, if not already, will become your friends and colleagues, so the words you use need to reflect that relationship. Remember you are always building a sales funnel and the blog or article is a very important part of your sales funnel. People love stories, so tell one. And don’t forget that 10 people may see your article or post and each of those 10 will read it a different way and when asked as to their opinion, you will be faced with 10 quite different interpretations of it so stories are great to consider when you are writing a new post.
Be direct. Tell them you want them to subscribe or you want them to buy or you want them to download ot you want them to watch your video. Don’t make people guess what you want them to do by hinting at it. Being direct shows your readers that you mean business, that you are not just a pretty face, that their next actions going to contribute to the bread and butter on your table. Tell them several times throughout the post so they get it. Show them by pointing out to them this is where you put your name and email in to get the rest of the information, tell them to click here to do this or that. Remember they are tired. They need to be prompted so they can get to bed in order to get up the next day to do it all over again.
And isn’t this why you are wanting them to be your customer? So that you can point out to them that life doesn’t need to be like this forever. It can change if they become partners in success with you.
It is also a very sad fact that many people do not know how to read – they have spent their entire youth watching videos and playing spacies. These are the types of people you are catering to. Adapt to their needs not your great gift as a great writer.

Articles – Training With Doc Stone
Today we had another excellent training with Doc Stone and his topic resonated with me because it was all about producing a really good article or blog post, discussing the intricacies that make up a good article or blog post and also pointing out what all those icons stand for at the top of the Word Press editor.
I came away from the webinar so enlightened with new knowledge I just had to share it with you in today’s post.
The first point he made was to Start Big, the reason being that you only have a small window of time to capture the reader’s attention so you need to hit them hard with a great title and an equally powerful opening line.
The next point is to limit how much information you provide. You have to remember that many of these people are coming home from long days in the office to spend a couple of hours surfing their interests on the internet and the last thing they want is to face a page that might have great content, however, they instantly realise they are too tired to read all that stuff and click away from your website. Plus they are so tired that all they want is for you to tell them exactly what you want them to do. Your post may be exactly what they are looking for, therefore, give them a little information, tell them you have written a report or an Ebook or done a video on the topic, therefore this is where you click to get more information. They would then do what you said, click the link and hey presto their attention span is now uplifted to pursue what you want them to do in another format which should be a call to action to put their name and email address into the box so that they can then access what it is they were after. Your job is done.
You need a call to action on every post. Up until now I can see where I am going wrong. I love to write so I write not realising that if people are interested maybe they would like to know a bit more about what Debbie Nicholson does and writes about and maybe they would like to be invited to go deeper into what she is all about.
Blogs need to be short and to the point – a minimum of 200 words with a maximum of 500 words. Anything after that needs to be put into a See More link, or another format altogether. Your click through link needs to go straight to your squeeze page which then directs them to what they really want after that. Always remember that the reason you are blogging is because you are wanting your readers to buy from you, or at least encouraged to become part of your list that you can market to them at a later date.
Day 6 Video For 90 Day Programme
Today I want to talk to you about Email Marketing Services and how important they are in our world of online businesses. Everything else we do, it seems, falls into the instant category, however, emailing certainly does not fit into anything INSTANT as far as I am concerned. It is unfortunate that we live by today’s standards in everything we do e.g. TV comes on at the click of a button, the cellphone connects you to anyone in the world within a few seconds, you can download great sagas written by ancient people who are hardly ever thought of nowadays, you can see someone or chat to someone half way across the world in a totally different time zone before you can click your fingers. Oh yes, this world is full of “If we can’t do it now, then let’s not do it!!”
Having a business online still requires the same attention as if you were serving someone in a shop. Your customers don’t want to be kept waiting while you finish off your banking and add up that great list of figures. They want your attention pretty smart and you had better give it to them or they will just go somewhere else OR worse still they will complain on the Skype or Facebook group and next thing they have sent a virus around the world within seconds telling everyone your customer service is atrocious.
Is this sounding familiar to you? I see it happening every day. Fortunately you get to know the whingers, and so I tend to ignore them because I treat everyone as I expect to be treated. I give them the chance and if they upset me, then I just quietly leave without them knowing. I don’t go on about it because what is that type of behaviour going to do for me? Is it going to enhance what I do, or are people going to think I am a whinger as well? Best to just keep quiet and find someone who suits your needs better.
Sending thousands of emails just greeting an optin, asking for their opinions on things, thanking them for becoming part of your list, thanking them for ordering, letting them know what they have brought is on it’s way, asking if they have received it, thanking them for their payment, checking they are happy with your product, and then starting the process all over again to get them to buy something else from you – it makes me tired just looking at all that work in front of me. Who needs this?? We all got out of offline business, facing horrible customers so that we didn’t have to put up with all of this extra work. Yes, people do it this way, however, I for one just do not have the time as I become more interested in what can be achieved online if you set yourself up properly.
I am not suggesting that you ignore your customers. They need all of this pampering and they are expecting all of this pampering just as you are yourself when you make a transaction online. In fact, if you are like me, you get a bit upset if your payment is not acknowledged because when you click that buy now button who knows where your money goes to so quickly? You can’t actually see the other end putting it into their till can you?
One of the ways you can set yourself up to carry out all of these menial tasks that your secretary used to slave away at in your former offline business is to outsource this type of work. In other words call up your former secretary and ask her if she would like to come work for you at your home office now. If I were her I would say “Stick it! You couldn’t pay me enough!!” hahaha. There are people in the world, however, who are only too willing to carry out these tasks for you for an hourly fee. There is of course an easier way that is far less expensive as well and that is through the use of a good Email Marketing Service.
By using an Email Marketing Service you can do all of the above with just the click of a button. The only time that it is going to take you – which may be a few hours, or a few days, depending on your time schedule, is taking the time to set up your emails into the system you choose to use for your Email Marketing Services.

Day 4 Video For 90 Day Challenge
What Is Marriage?
We have a Proclamation that we live by in our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That Proclamation is titled “The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” in which the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles remind us that “marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.” Our goal as families is to be married in one of the Temples of the world in order that we may be together forever, not just until death do we part.
Family is the greatest joy of mankind and we strive to create relationships that are strong, however, nothing is simple and in order to create a strong family relationship we need to be constantly working on this concept. Eternity is a long time and therefore we need to know our self-worth as a family and gather strength from each other at all times. Communication is the best strength in a family, as talking things through is so very important as wrong ideas and assumptions can cause a viral disease to spread through a group so very easily if not kept in check simply by talking it through with each other.
Attending the Temple as a family requires work as well. In the Temple we are required to keep certain covenants to keep our family relationships strong and therefore once outside the Temple we need to always be mindful of the example we set as a family to the outside world. Satan is rife in the world right now. He does not want the family to succeed. He does his best to get between mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, children and parents. It is very sad to see the decay of the family as we are taught to know and respect it, fading away as the centuries continue on. Having and honouring a Temple Sealing is our declaration to Satan that we are prepared to make a stand. However, even in the best of Latter Day Saint marriages, there can develop problems.
We are very lucky in our Church because we have access to well-trained minds to aid us through times of break-down besides that most powerful weapon Prayer. Joseph Smith taught us the 3 degrees of glory – the Celestial, the Terrestrial and the Telestial and for each of these Heavens are certain requirements in order to qualify for the blessings that come through living the covenants of a Temple Marriage.
Loving our spouse is special only to loving our Heavenly Father and both are so essential for us to get through the turmoil of life here upon this earth. To us marriage is a partnership of equals, whereby both of us help each other with encouragement, comfort and help. Marriage needs time to mature, time to be together, time to be respectful and thoughtful of each other, time for listening, time for talking, time for being affectionate and loving and kind in words, deeds and actions. “Thou shalt love thy wife with all thy heart, and shalt cleave unto her and none else” means that marriage between two persons should not be interferred with through outside activities, possessions or other people. Office flirtations, indulging in activities that are not healthy for the mind or body and unfaithfulness eat away at the foundation of a marriage.
They say that no success can ever compensate for failure in the home. And how true is that statement when you contemplate what is happening in the world today.
Everything starts in your own backyard and if you have that spiritual strength to start with – that is constantly nurtured through understanding and a good healthy, strong relationship between the 2 at the top of the family funnel, then everything should follow on from there quite smoothly. Talking together about everything, sharing about everything is so necessary. No secrets between couples should exist. Financial problems are generally the cause of a major breakdown, therefore right from the start, money should be high on the list of priorities to discuss in your meetings with each other on a daily basis. Managing money wisely and being debt free is a great commitment for both parties involved.
Prayer must be thought of as of major importance as well. Inviting Jesus Christ into each of your lives before you part from each other in the mornings and before you retire to your bed at night will give you the strength to carry on when things get tough. And life does get tough. So you need all the help you can get.
