Bugatti Veyron

Bugatti Veyron

I happened to look over my husband’s shoulder the other night and he was reading about the Bugatti Veyron from the book by Peter Gunn – Mega Machines – published by Parragon Books.  He had inherited the book from his Dad who passed on a couple of months ago.  Like his Dad, Keith is a truck driver from way back, therefore this book that contains so many fantastic articles about BIG land machines is capturing his interest every night before sleep.

The Bugatti in particular, captured my own interest a few months back when I saw the Facebook cover of a friend of mine featuring the red and black model. I instantly fell in love with it.  Up till now I had always preferred the Jaguar which Keith has had as our main car when we had a house and a garage to put it into.  Nowadays, living in a mobile home in the outdoors, there is no longer room for a Jaguar in our lives and so I am content with my wee yellow Volkswagen Bug in comparison.

However, that does not prevent me from being a great fan of the Bugatti and I can assure you that I have a picture of my two favourite coloured machines on my vision board.  Right now the price factor is out of my league, however, with the training and commitment I have made to myself for my online business, there is no reason that the Bugatti has to remain just a figment of my imagination and wish list.

Tomorrow is the last day of the year, here in my country.

Today I am publishing just one of the items that make up my vision board.

The Birth Of Jesus

The First Noel

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
And the taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.
And all went to be taxed, everyone into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David.)

Once In Royal David’s City

And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David.)
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

Silent Night

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there was in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them, and they were sore afraid.

While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people.

Joy To The World

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall fid the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

Away In A Manger

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,Glory to God n the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Far Away On Judea’s Plain

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us go now even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

With Wondering Awe

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God, for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

………. stance by making his contribution to mankind through the personality with which he was blessed.  There will never be another like him.

The national flag was replaced by a lion skin, the traditional symbol of his Xhosa people. As evening fell, tribal leaders and men from his family honoured their father, their “Tata”, their very own member of the Thembu clan.

And the last night was spent in his own bedroom that overlooked the hills and the place where all of those waiting for him on the other side rested their physical bodies from the stresses of earth life.

Among the mourners who attended the funeral yesterday were Oprah Winfrey, Prince Charles, The Clintons, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Gerry Adams, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu alongside Mandela family and friends who swelled the population of Qunu for the hours needed to make their last farewells.

As tradition goes, he was buried before midday , “when the sun is at its highest and the shadow is at its lowest” giving his spirit the freedom to join with his ancestors.  95 candles, each one representing each of his earthly years stood vigil in his final moments in the public arena.  The opening hymn was Fulfill Your Promise followed by the Good and Faithful Servants Parable.  Ahmed Kathrada, his long time companion from the many years of incarceration spoke of their deep and eternal friendship.  Granddaughter Nandi Mandela spoke on behalf of all the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nelson Mandela was certainly someone who was sent here to make a difference.

And He did.

North Korea Not Happy With Uncle Jang

……training before the event thus their preparation methods are done in this in-house type of way.  I think myself, that today’s youth looks far differently on society and I think that the more hands-on one plays the game, then more wisdom comes from the decisions that are soon to be theirs for the making.

It has been interesting for me to watch a greedy uncle in the background, suspiciously supported by a loyal wife with the same thoughts and feelings as her eternal partner.  I had no reason to think that Uncle Jang Song Thaek was a greedy person,  I just trusted my gut feeling about him when I saw him hovering over this “charge” supposedly making the decisions that had already been handed down to him to make because they had been dreamed up by the Uncle-in-charge-without-being-aware-of-that-fact.

Now all these months since the first appearance that came to my notice about this new young leader my suspicions have found fruit.  Uncle Jang has been deposed of his high standing and now it appears been executed for the part he played in the offences that led up to this extreme action. In a country of millions upon millions of people, perceived insurrection has to be dealt with quickly. There are no ifs and buts like in our unfair system when far too often it is the victim who gets penalized for defending themselves against the perpetrator depending on how much you can afford to pay a lawyer.

Visually not supporting his leader can be seen as …..………… Click here to read Part 3 of Kim Jong Un.

Part 2

………was no longer wanting to have my life controlled by someone else offering a mere pittance of a wage every week for the long hours I was expected to work.

On looking back, it would have been far less stressful for me to have continued with employment in the bank who had taken me under their wing, courtesy of my Dad who knew one of the elite society of Bank Managers at the time, he being the Top Level Taxi Proprietor Entrepreneur of those days.

Soon after that I was offered a chance to open a branch in Porirua which was far closer to where I lived and therefore the traveling distance would be far less for easy access to my littlies in an emergency.  The hassle that I encountered from that point was in having staff who took advantage of my necessary absence from either venue every which way one turned.

I was the first employment agency set up n Porirua so that was a great advantage.  Plus I had the backup of my accountant who put me into a position of being landlady to several clients on the floor where he rented his office that he visited twice a week.  I was able to do a lot of the work for him as well because his staff had been training me over the years to do the books for my fatherinlaw who was a builder so it was easy for me to pick up on work he left for me to do.

Which of course added another income stream to my rapidly growing business…………
