Today we are given the law of Tithing as our weekly sacrifice to help where needed. There was a rich young man in the Bible who asked what he could do to show his genuine feelings. And the Saviour told him to go and sell everything that he had and give it to the poor, and follow hm. There is a promise to everyone in Matthew 19:21, 27 and 29. Every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.”
In sacrificing, there are always blessings that will come forth. You cannot take anything with you when you leave this earth, no matter how much you value it. All that you take is what is in your mind. It is not your house, your car, your business, not anything that you value materially that is your greatest worth here on this earth.
